How to Keep Fleas Off Your Pet
There are two factors to consider: The pet itself and the environmnent. This page deals with the pet so be sure to read the parts about the yard and the house.
Before you can do anything, be sure that your dog isn't all matted up. Take him to the groomer if you need to and/or be sure to give him a flea bath. (At this point the flea bath is more to clean him up than to kill fleas.) If his coat is all ratty and dirty then you'll just be wasting your time.
This is going to sound stupidly simple but it is the easiest way to keep fleas (and ticks off your dog). Simply give him a good bath and then apply Frontline or Advantage Plus as directed. There you go. No flea collars, no sprays, no electronic collars. You are done. If a flea jumps on your dog, it will die.
